An influential designer of Essex County parks was the
Frederick Law Olmsted firm, also the landscape architect for Central Park
in New York. That firm, noted for naturalistic lines with gracefully curving
paths, designed Anderson Park, led by John Charles Olmsted, the stepson of
Frederick Law Olmsted.
